Avenging Steve Irwin’s Death

So on our second day fishing I saw the Sting Ray that possibly killed Steve Irwin swim below the rocks we were fishing on. This thing was huge, probably around 4 ft in diameter. Trevor said it was the biggest one he had ever seen, pretty cool seeing it up close like that. On our third day fishing my encounter with another Sting Ray was a little closer, we were fishing on the beach when Trevor saw a white Ray swim by. I didn’t see it but when I was reeling in my line I noticed it and before I knew it while reeling my bait past it, it took my hook and the fight was on. I had no shot from the beginning as it easily took out 100 yards on its first run, then I brought it in a little but it easily took another 50 and then proceeded to lie down on the bottom and not move. After sitting pulling on the thing for about 5 minutes in which it felt like I was snagged on the bottom, my line finally gave way and the beast got away. In all reality it’s probably a good thing that I didn’t get it in, as I would have had no idea to do with it once I got it in, and I sure as hell wasn’t going to touch that thing.
