Cubbies in the Valley
Cubbies in the Valley was an event that was put on by our baseball club. It was a winery/distillery/brewery tour that started with us meeting at our baseball club headquarters at 11:30. Members on every level of the club including state league players, players girlfriends, parents, etc. were invited. In total their were about 35 members who boarded the bus and headed out to the Swan Valley region. It was a very hot day, probably pushing 95 degrees and up. The plan was to go to the brewery for lunch and beers, then the winery for a tasting and next the distillery (which made rum), and then on to the Perth Heat game that evening. It was a great day and fun was had by all. A few of us decided to extend the fun a little too much though, and had the bus take us downtown after the Perth Heat game. Needless to say that probably wasn't the best decision as I think all of us paid for it the next day! I would post some pictures but like I said it was extremely hot out, and lack of food plus extreme heat plus probably too much alcohol means we got a little sloppy. So I'll save the pictures for another time.
